Concrete Spacers
Concrete spacers keep steel reinforcement in place during concrete pouring and curing. They ensure the correct cover between the rebar and the surface, which protects the steel from corrosion and fire damage. Joluka manufactures these spacers using fibre-reinforced concrete. This material matches the thermal expansion of the surrounding concrete and bonds well with it. It also resists chemicals, absorbs very little water, and withstands high temperatures.
Each spacer offers high compressive strength, ranging from 50 MPa to 80 MPa. This makes them suitable for both light and heavy-duty applications. Joluka spacers come in various sizes, from 20 mm to 100 mm cover depth. They fit rebar diameters from 6 mm to 25 mm. Many models include galvanized wire fixings, which are cast into the spacer. These wires make it easy to tie the spacer securely to the reinforcement.
Contractors use concrete spacers in suspended slabs, beams, columns, and precast elements. They perform well in water-retaining structures and civil engineering projects. Their grey colour blends with off-shutter concrete, making them ideal for exposed finishes. Unlike plastic spacers, concrete spacers carry more load and require fewer units per square meter. They also last longer in harsh environments and bond better with the concrete matrix.
Joluka’s concrete spacers offer a reliable, durable, and efficient solution for reinforcement positioning. They help maintain structural integrity and extend the lifespan of concrete structures.
